Immunosuppression Tied to Increased Morbidity, Mortality After Emergency Surgery

DALLAS—Immunosuppression may increase the risk for suboptimal outcomes after emergency general surgery, according to a group of researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston.
