New Orleans—New research from cardiologists, surgeons and epidemiologists in Sweden, presented at the 2016 annual meeting of the American Heart Association, has revealed that robust weight loss resulting from bariatric surgery can significantly reduce a patient’s risk for heart failure.
Currently, the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and Obesity Society clinical practice guidelines state that bariatric surgery may provide health benefits
