ORLANDO, Fla.—Use of a novel, personalized cancer risk counseling tool that includes a risk assessment for contralateral breast cancer (CBC) may help patients with unilateral breast cancer understand their risk for CBC more accurately, but it did not appear to affect decision making about contralateral prophylactic mastectomy (CPM), according to new research.
“In February 2019, the American Society of Breast Surgeons recommended genetic testing for all breast cancer
