ORLANDO, Fla.—Early elevation of key inflammatory markers may be able to predict mortality among critically injured trauma patients, according to a study presented at the 2023 EAST Annual Scientific Assembly (paper 30).
“With increased strain on our current healthcare system and limited blood bank resources, additional tools to determine which patients may experience late complications from traumatic injury and hemorrhage will be highly beneficial,” said Matthew Ryan Baucom,
