Overall Volume Does Not Indicate Procedure Volume at Trauma Centers

WASHINGTON—Overall admission volume at trauma centers is not an indicator of the procedural interventions performed, suggesting that volume alone is not a sufficient criterion for determining the verification level of a trauma center, according to a study presented at the 2024 annual meeting of the American Surgical Association.
