After finishing my fellowship in 2005, I’d done about 70 cases on the original platform (da Vinci Surgical System, Intuitive Surgical). The cases took longer, cost more and had no benefit to the patient. I did them for about another year or two, but gave up doing robotics in clinical general surgery by
