With no access to coverage, leaving for education or expansion was nearly impossible. Then I had children, a family.
Even with no coverage I was able to add endoscopy via one fellow, senior surgeon and pacemaker. With the access to a coverage by the hospital, I was able to add laparoscopic surgery up to Nissen, not to colon..
