Endoscopic Enucleation Found Safe For Subepithelial Masses

Although endoscopists often encounter gastric subepithelial tumors during routine procedures, the lesions represent a diagnostic challenge and require frequent follow-up to ensure no interval growth that may indicate malignant potential. Yet a team of Canadian researchers has found that endoscopy-assisted enucleation of these sometimes troublesome bodies is both technically feasible and safe.
